Seiminlen Doungel Indian Football Player

Seiminlen Doungel is an Indian professional football player who currently plays as a forward for the Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters FC. Born on December 4, 1992, in Manipur, Doungel started his football career at a young age and joined the youth academy of Shillong Lajong FC in 2010.

Doungel made his professional debut for Shillong Lajong FC in the 2011-12 season of the I-League, India’s top football league. He quickly became a regular for the club and was praised for his pace, dribbling skills, and finishing ability. In the 2012-13 season, Doungel scored nine goals for Shillong Lajong FC and was named the club’s player of the season.

In 2014, Doungel joined NorthEast United FC, one of the eight teams in the newly-formed Indian Super League. He played an important role for the club in his first season, scoring six goals in 14 matches. Doungel’s performances earned him a call-up to the India national football team for the 2015 SAFF Championship.

In 2018, Doungel joined Kerala Blasters FC and has been a key player for the club since then. He has scored several important goals for the club and has helped them reach the semifinals of the Indian Super League on two occasions.
