The FIFA U-17 World Cup Team is a biennial international football tournament contested by men’s national teams under the age of 17.
The India national under-17 football team represents India in international football at this age level and is controlled by the All India Football Federation, the governing body for football in India.
India has never qualified for a FIFA U-17 World Cup finals, but they will be participating in the 2017 edition as hosts. This will be their first appearance in any FIFA tournament.

This year’s edition will be held in India from October 6th to 28th, with a total of 52 matches being played across 6 cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Kochi and Navi Mumbai.
A total of 24 teams will be participating in the tournament, including powerhouses like Brazil, England and Germany.
The Indian team has been drawn into Group A alongside USA, Colombia and Ghana. They will begin their campaign against USA on October 6th at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
