RCB’s solid batting against SRH
As RCB won the toss and decided to bat first. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis had a good start, but Faf got dismissed by T. Natarajan in the third over after scoring 25 runs off 12 balls. Will Jacks, who scored 6 off 9 balls, couldn’t contribute much to his team’s score.
However, Rajat Patidar played an amazing knock of 50 runs off just 20 balls, including 2 fours and 5 sixes. He even hit 4 consecutive sixes out of the 5 sixes he scored. Virat Kohli also played well and scored 51 off 43 balls before getting dismissed by Jaydev Unadkat. This was Virat’s 53rd half-century in his IPL career.
Mahipal Lomror scored 7 runs off 4 balls, Dinesh Karthik scored 11 runs off 6 balls, and Swapnii Singh scored 12 runs off 6 balls. Cameron Green tried his best to score a defendable target against SRH and scored 37* runs off 20 balls.
In the end, RCB managed to score 206/7 in 20 overs.
SRH choked against RCB

POTM: RCB VS SRH
Rajat Patidar was named Player of the Match for his brilliant performance of 50 runs off just 20 balls.
Faf du Plessis: We’ve shown great signs of fight in the last two games. SRH game was 270 plus, and we got 260. KKR game as well – 1 run. We’ve been close for a while, but you need to win matches to get confidence as a group. Will sleep easier tonight. You can’t speak confidence into the group, can’t fake confidence into the group. The only thing that gives confidence is performance. The competition is so strong, the teams are so strong that you’ll get hurt if you’re not at 100 percent.
Pat Cummins: Not an ideal night. Few over par with the ball and unfortunately lost a few wickets throughout our innings. We were gonna bat first, it seems to be working for us. Before the last few wins, we were thinking that we were a bowl-first team. Didn’t go our way. (Messaging to the group) I speak after wins, Dan (Vettori) speaks after losses. The boys have been doing well, it’s T20 cricket, you are not going to win every game. Don’t dwell on this too much. (High risk, high reward approach with the bat) I think it’s our strong suit. It’s not going to work every game. In one or two games where it hasn’t gone our way at the start, we still managed to get a good total. Still think this is the way forward for our boys.
