POTM: MI VS RR

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sandeep Sharma both played exceptionally well for Rajasthan Royals and were equally deserving of recognition.

Sandeep Sharma’s incredible performance with the ball tonight with 5-18. Meanwhile, in the chase, Yasjasvi Jaiswal hit a superb century in just 60 balls.

Despite both players’ impressive performances, Sandeep Sharma was named the Player of the match for his incredible five-wicket haul.

The credit has to go to all the players. We started off really well with the ball in the powerplay. In the end, both the left-handers played unbelievably well. Some quality spin from Ashwin and Chahal. The way they went after them was really great. The wicket looked dry, but Jaipur is still colder in the night. When the lights come on, it looks like a better wicket to bat on. It came true today (smiles). The way Buttler and Jaiswal batted for a couple of overs after the rain, we knew that we had to just reset and go back to our momentum. People are professional enough to understand what they need to do when they get a break, so I am really happy with the approach. Jaiswal is always confident. We knew it was just a matter of one game. The way he batted in the powerplay, he was calm and composed, knowing that things were in control. We knew in the dugout that he was playing some cricketing shots and he would be fine today. I am happy for him. We are going to Lucknow. Let’s see how the wicket is out there and let’s see how it goes.”
