Rohan Bopanna Indian Tennis Player

Rohan Bopanna is a former Indian professional tennis player who is considered one of the most successful players in the history of the sport in India. Born on March 4, 1980, in Bangalore, Karnataka, Bopanna started playing tennis at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the top players in the country.

Bopanna made his international debut for India in 2002, and quickly made a name for himself on the ATP Tour. In 2007, he reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 213, and in 2010, he reached a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 3.

One of Bopanna’s biggest achievements came at the 2017 French Open, where he won the mixed doubles title with his partner Gabriela Dabrowski. This made him the first Indian player to win a Grand Slam title in mixed doubles, and only the second Indian player to win a Grand Slam title in any discipline.

Bopanna retired from professional tennis in 2020, ending a storied career that saw him become one of the most successful players in Indian history. He will be remembered for his skill, determination, and passion for the sport, and for inspiring a generation of Indian tennis players to chase their dreams.
