She is a left handed aggressive player who is also the recipient of the Arjuna Award given by the Indian Government for her excellent performances in badminton.

In 2009 she faced a major injury which kept her away from the court for 13 months. She tore her ligament in her knee and as a result she had to stop playing competitive matches in the singles category and had to focus on only doubles as suggested by the doctor.

Consistency is what Sikki would definitely like to maintain in her career. When asked, she says that representing India at the Olympics is her dream and she also wants to win a medal at the biggest stage in the world.
