Ignace Tirkey and Prabodh Tirkey are the two brothers who have been playing for the Indian National Hockey Team.
Both have captained the Indian side for certain intervals of time, and Indian Hockey cannot forget their contributions.
The 38 year old has represented India and has also captained the side.
In his career from 2001 to 2012 he played as a fullback and has over 250 appearances for the nation.
His contribution in the 2003 Asia Cup Final was extremely important as he scored the 3rd goal for India after the score was locked at 2-2 in the dying minutes of the game.
That goal was talked about for a long time as Ignace scored that goal between the ace striker of Pakistan; Sohail Abbas.
He was also part of the team that won the Gold Medal in the 2011 Asian Champions Trophy.
