Surjeet started playing Kabaddi when he was in 5th Std and represented school in State Competitions.
He represented Bengal Warriors and also captained the side.
Surjeet Singh is one of the most incisive cover defenders, who is ever waiting for just a hint of a mistake from the raider to dash him off the mat. Surjeet specializes in blocking or Dashing raiders who try and come deep, looking to make a bonus point, which makes him a risky proposition to go up against.
After playing well in state tournaments, he and his friends focused more on the game and started training hard.
Then came the Pro Kabaddi League where he got a chance and displayed a good performance.
His family supported him in his career and that kept him motivated to continue his game.
Captaining a team like Bengal Warriors in such an important league like this is a great responsibility for Surjeet.
Being a defender, Surjeet says that Pardeep Narwal is the toughest raider he has faced.
Attending parties and roaming with friends is what Surjeet loves to do in his free time.
He is a vegetarian and thus loves home-made food rather than any junk.
As he loves to travel, he visits Himachal as it is pretty cold there.
His favourite actor is Sunny Deol.
Singh was also a part of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup winning Indian team.
Surjeet Singh has 16 High 5s from just 50 games which puts him fifth on the list of player with the most High 5s.
In Season 5 he had the joint most number of High 5s among all the defenders.
