A raider who has been a part of every VIVO Pro Kabaddi season barring the second, Pawan Kumar Sehrawat really came into his own in the sixth season, picking up raid points at will. His ability to surprise the defenders — particularly the Ins — with his long reach and lower body strength makes him unique. This is because he often propels his body towards the mid-line even when he has multiple defenders holding him back making his attacks resolute.
Two thirds into his campaign, Sehrawat had emerged as the leading raider of Season 6.
Sehrawat scored, a league-leading, 282 points in 24 appearances, in Season 6, 49 points clear of second-placed Pardeep Narwal.
Sehrawat led the league in Super Raids in Season 6 with 12.
Sehrawat’s 22 points are the most by any player in a VIVO Pro Kabaddi final.
In just 5 games of Season 6 he scored more points than in his previous 4 seasons combined.
Though Sehrawat was a part of the Bengaluru Bulls squad in Season 1, it was in the third season that he actually got to take the mat for them.
In Season 3, he scored the first Super Raid and Super Tackle of his VIVO Pro Kabaddi career and ended the season with 53 points.
Sehrawat holds the record for the most points in a single match at 39.
Sehrawat was only the second player to record a 300-raid point campaign in Season 7.
