Biography

India’s Fastest Woman of all time

Dutee is from Gopalpur Village of Odisha. Coming from a weavers family of a small village Dutee has already became an Indian sensation. Sarswati Chand, DUtee’s sister, is the real source of inspiration for Indian Sprinter.

She showed her spark for the first time when she became U18 National Champion in 2012.

After becoming the Junior National Champion, she never looked back.

In 2016, Dutee broke Rachita Mistry’s 16 year old national record to become fastest Indian Woman of all time.

Rio 2016 was milestone for India in many ways. Dutee became the third indian woman to qualify for the 100m event in Olympics history. Indian sprinter ran in women’s 100m in Olympics after 36 years.

Though she has taken Indian athletics to the greater hights, she has faced controversry due to her condition of hyperandrogenism.

After Rio Olympics, Dutee is now getting training at Hyderabad.

India can expect many more medals from her at international level in coming years.
